Some real nice walleyes coming out of Gull Lake these last few days after opener. Most of these fish came out of 8 ft. but the biggest, 29.5” was caught in 18 ft. All were released healthy to fight another day. These fish were caught with Glen of the Nisswa Guides’s League.
Got into some nice crappies today, May 4, 2021 with Glen Belgum of the Nisswa Guides’s League. Dave and Pat also got to watch a young eagle which had been standing on a dock for quite some time and then just drop to the water and come up with a fish.
Fishing Opener is just 12 days from now and conditions are setting up for a great one! Water temperatures in the Brainerd Lakes Area are slowly rising and should get the shiners running and the walleyes snapping! Crappie fishing is also starting to turn on and should stay good for the next few weeks. The Nisswa Guides League, the longest running Fishing Guide League in Minnesota, is heading into its 54th season of taking anglers from around the U.S. Give us a call if you are interested in learning more about fishing with a guide.
